Daniel C. McGovern, DMD, MS is a native of Albany, GA. He attended Georgia Southern University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Microbiology. After graduation, Dr. McGovern worked at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA as a microbiologist conducting hepatitis research.
Dr. McGovern then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Dental College of Georgia in 2018. Following graduation, Dr. McGovern continued his dental education with a hospital based General Practice Residency program also at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta.
During residency, Dr. McGovern became proficient in IV conscious sedation, dental implant placement, wisdom teeth removal, and treating dentally complex patients.
Dr. McGovern is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his daughter, Adleigh and with his wife and dogs (Maggie and Paisley). He also is an avid sports fan and enjoys rooting for his favorite teams, Florida State Seminoles, Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons.
